Key Summary

  • OHLC Statistical Mapping° [Pro+], built with Joshuuu, plots where a chosen candle has historically manipulated and distributed, plus the average time each phase completed.
  • It draws four levels: +Manipulation and +Distribution for longs, -Manipulation and -Distribution for shorts.
  • Once price clears a manipulation pivot, grade the run to the distribution level into 25%, 50% and 75% quarters and use them as waypoints.
  • Reactions in low-volume hours run shallow. The same level inside a London or New York killzone carries real participation.

What OHLC Statistical Mapping draws

OHLC Statistical Mapping° [Pro+], built with Joshuuu, studies how a specific candle has behaved across its history and plots the average of that behaviour on your chart. Pick a timeframe, and it reads where that candle tended to wick and deliver, and at what time.

Instead of one line it draws four: +Manipulation and +Distribution for the bullish case, -Manipulation and -Distribution for the bearish one. The "+" levels are what you watch for longs, the "-" levels for shorts. It adds vertical time markers for when manipulation and distribution tended to complete, and an average candle range so you can see whether today is running hot or quiet against the norm.

Your framework. Our automation.

Grade the move into quarters

The levels are not the whole story. Once price clears a manipulation pivot, measure the broken manipulation across to the statistical distribution level and divide that range into quarters: 25%, 50% and 75%.

Price often hesitates at those quarter marks. A stall at 25% or 50% is a sign the full distribution level may be deferred rather than reached in one push. Treat the graded pivots as intermediate waypoints instead of the destination, places to scale in or trim as price works toward the statistical distribution, or stops short of it.

The quarters turn a single target into a map of the move.

Filter reactions by time of day

A level is only as good as the participation behind it. Reactions to a statistical manipulation or distribution level during low-volume hours, the Asian session or the dead time outside the London and New York killzones, tend to be shallow retracements toward nearby liquidity rather than a real move to the opposing level.

With muted orderflow, those interactions can mislead you if you take them at face value. The same level reached inside a high-volume session is a different read: the reaction is backed by real participation, and that adds confluence. Check the clock before you trust the level.

Analyst tip: watch the raid land on the level

Display two HTF Power of Three candles together. The first candle closes and establishes the liquidity. The active candle is the one that sweeps that pivot into your statistical manipulation or distribution level.

A raid of liquidity right at the statistical level tells you two things at once. It shows where resting orders were neutralized, and it reveals the active candle's intent. You get the sweep happening on the chart, sitting on top of the statistical level that said it might, which is confluence you can see on the chart.

Pair it with the rest of the read

OHLC Stat Map tells you the shape of the candle. Session Statistical Mapping° [Pro+] runs the same manipulation, distribution and timing read on session windows instead, and traders drop it inside the daily map so an intraday retracement lines up with a level that already means something on the day. Statistical Volatility° [Pro+] grades displacement from Low to Extreme, so you know whether a level is likely to get run through or respected.

Three reads of the same idea: where, when, and how hard.

What it doesn't do

None of this predicts direction, and none of it fires a signal. The levels are the historical average of past candles, and Joshuuu's own docs say the obvious thing: past behaviour won't always match what price does next.

What changes is the guessing. The manipulation level you used to eyeball is the 40-sample average, on the chart before the candle opens, with quarters drawn to the target and a time attached. You still read the session and wait for the raid. The call is yours. Context, not a signal.

Key Questions

+Manipulation and +Distribution for bullish setups, -Manipulation and -Distribution for bearish ones. The "+" side is watched for longs, the "-" side for shorts. Each level is the statistical average of where that candle has historically manipulated and delivered.

Once price clears a manipulation pivot, measure from the broken manipulation to the statistical distribution level and split it into 25%, 50% and 75%. Price often hesitates at those marks, so they work as intermediate waypoints to scale or trim rather than one all-or-nothing target.

Reactions in low-volume hours, like the Asian session or the time outside the London and New York killzones, tend to be shallow and can mislead. The same level reached in a high-volume session carries real participation, which adds confluence.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. None of our indicators repaint. The statistical levels are computed from closed historical candles and stay put once drawn.

No. It plots the statistical average of where a candle has manipulated and delivered. Tools, not signals. You still read the session and make the call.

The tool offers 5, 20, 40, 60, custom and maximum. A larger sample smooths out one-off candles; a smaller one weights recent behaviour. Match it to how much history you trust on the instrument.

OHLC Statistical Mapping is a collaborator tool built with Joshuuu. It is included in the Elite Collection and available standalone. It is invite-only on TradingView and added to your account once you're in.

Yes. It reads whatever instrument and timeframe you put it on, with a continuous-futures option for symbols like NQ1!.
